PEACE SEMINARS, OPEN DAYS & SCHOOLS			HOUSE OF VICTORIES
	Islam Awareness Week As part of National Islam Awareness Week the Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden will be holding open days from the 23rd November - 29th November 2008 (except Friday 28th November 2008) between 10 am and 4pm. You will be given a tour of the mosque, various multi-purpose halls, library and exhibition. You will be given an information pack on various aspects of Islam and the mosque. The site is located next to Morden South Station and 5-10 minutes walk from Morden Underground Station. Buses numbers 80, 93 and 154 stop outside the mosque. Parking is available on site. This also includes a talk and questions and answers on the basic teachings of Islam and the purposes of a mosque. Refreshments can also be provided. The mosque complex provides the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with a central focal point for meetings, social and religious events on a national scale that was no longer possible in the much smaller London mosque. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community acquired the site in 1996 which was previously “Express Dairies”, and the late Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, the fourth Khalifa laid the foundation stone on 19th October 1999. The first mosque built by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in England was the Fazal Mosque situated in Southfields, South West London. The Fazal mosque which is commonly known as the London Mosque was built by the funds provided by the ladies section of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1924.
